Posted: July 24th, 2026 ARNIE PEDERSON September 2, 1943 ~ July 11, 2026 It is with great sadness that the family of Roy Arnold ‘Arnie’ Pederson announce his passing in Oyen, Alberta, on July 11, 2026, at the age of 82 years. Born in Calgary, Alberta, on September 2, 1943, Arnie spent many years working as a skilled dozer ‘Cat’ operator. He was a hardworking man who took pride in his work and was always willing to lend a hand. Outside of work, he enjoyed fishing, following sports, tending to his garden and playing a good game of crib. He found happiness in life’s simple pleasures and especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. One of Arnie’s greatest gifts was his sense of humor. You never quite knew what he was going to say next but you could count on it leaving everyone laughing. His warm smile, generous nature and unforgettable stories will be cherished by all who knew him. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Melyssa and Jennifer Pederson; his cherished granddaughter, Brooke Pederson; brother, Brian Pederson; sisters, Bernice Fode, Anita Runions and Miriam Herman as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Arnie was predeceased by his beloved wife, Linda Pederson (Miller); his parents, Levi and Beatrice Pederson and his siblings, Hazel, Virgil and Leonard Pederson. In honouring Arnie’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. He was laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery with his beloved wife, Linda. Arnie touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.
