MEGAN EGGINS 1980 – 2026
Megan Leigh Eggins, beloved wife of Arthur Eggins of Medicine Hat, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the age of 46. Megan will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Arthur; her two children, Lyrah and Everest; her parents, Jack and Margot Coleman; and her brother, Chris (Jaime), along with their children, Izzy and Cayden. Born on June 27, 1980, in Medicine Hat to Jack and Margot Coleman, Megan spent her early years in Medicine Hat. She attended Crestwood School, Alexander School, and Medicine Hat High School before continuing her education at Taylor University. She later returned home to attend Medicine Hat College, where she pursued her passion for nursing. As a registered nurse, Megan found great fulfillment in caring for others. She was also an active and dedicated union member, advocating for her colleagues and profession. Megan embraced life with creativity, enthusiasm, and generosity. She loved crafting, planning unforgettable birthday parties, and creating Pinterest-worthy bento lunches for her children. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved pets, staying active, running, and relaxing with cooking shows. According to her husband, Megan deserved awards for making the best sourdough pizza, packing incredible school lunches, and hosting the most amazing birthday celebrations. She was an active member of her book club and church community and found her greatest joy in supporting her children in all their activities, including swimming, lacrosse, and karate. Megan cherished her family, friends, and the close-knit community she called her tribe and was part of an even bigger village. Family and friends will gather to pay their respects from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTRE. The celebration of life will be planned for a future date and announced once details have been confirmed. A private family interment will take place in the Redcliff Cemetery.
