TROY SCHAUFELE 1978 ~ 2026 Troy Michael Schaufele, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the age of 48 years. He leaves to cherish his memory, his twin daughters, Lexus and Saxyn Schaufele; his partner, Stacey Schmidt and her daughter, Aspen; his father, Neil Schaufele; his sister, Jennifer (Troy) Bjelland and their sons, Brody and Cooper and his two uncles, Brian Schaufele and Dermot O’Neill. Troy was predeceased by his mother, Fran Schaufele; his uncle, Wayne Schaufele; his aunt, Jackie Schaufele, and his grandparents, Patrick and Mary O’Neill and Ed and Esther Schaufele. Troy was born in Medicine Hat on March 24, 1978, to Fran and Neil Schaufele. He was raised in Medicine Hat, attended school here, and always called it home. After high school, Troy earned his B-Pressure Welding certification and began a long and successful career in the oilfield throughout Alberta and across the United States. Troy loved life, a good laugh, and, of course, pulling a good prank. You always knew when Troy was in the room-you could hear his deep laugh and unmistakable voice from what seemed like miles away. More than anything, Troy loved his two beautiful daughters, Saxyn and Lexus. They were his pride and joy, and he cherished the time spent making memories with them, from baking cakes and tea parties to crafts, gymnastics, and drag racing. Troy had a passion for cars, motorbikes, and anything involving speed. He was always looking for the next good deal and, if it had wheels, there was a good chance Troy wanted it. Troy loved his family and friends and was always there to lend a hand. Anyone who knew Troy was lucky to have crossed paths with him. His laughter, generosity, sense of humour, and larger-than-life personality will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. You will be forever loved, missed, and remembered. Rest easy, Troy. A come and go celebration of life will take place in the MEDICINE HAT LEGION on Monday, September 14, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A short program will start at 2:30 p.m. To leave a message of condolence you may visit www.pattisonfuneralhome.com.
