MORLEY FRANKLIN FRANZ December 23rd, 1941 August 26th, 2026 It is with heavy hearts that the family of Morley Franklin Franz announce his passing on August 26th, 2026, at the age of 84. He leaves to honour his memory wife, Carol, sons, Jonathan, Matthew (Kim), Michael (Erin), Levi (Mackenzie), Jamin and Morgan; daughter, Savannah (Ben) Parks; grandchildren, Lucas, Carlie, Kayla, Aiden and Gage; sisters, Josephine Good, Bonita Franz and Delores Los.
Morley is predeceased by his parents, Fred and Ida Franz; brother, Alec Franz; sisters, Phyllis Schorr and Beverley Franz.
Morley was born on December 23, 1941 in Irvine, Alberta. He later moved to Calgary to pursue his Bachelor of Education at the University of Alberta. Following his studies, he began his career in teaching, working at schools in both Schuler and Irvine. Teaching came naturally to Morley, and it was something that he was extremely passionate about. After starting a family, Morley embarked on a new career in construction, establishing his own company, building homes and completing renovations throughout Medicine Hat and Southern Alberta.
After retiring, Morley continued to keep his hands busy and his creativity alive. He was happiest when he was making something,whether that was working with wood, crafting leather, creating pottery, or tending to his garden. There was always another project underway, and he took great satisfaction in learning, creating, and working with his hands
Morley will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
