TED SCHULER

1936 ~ TED SCHULER ~ 2026 Ted Richard Schuler, beloved husband of the late Jacqueline Schuler, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026, at the age of 89 years. Ted is survived by his children, Scott (Bernetta), Tracey (Douglas) Skurdal, Jeffrey, and Cameron; five grandchildren, Matthew (Jenna) Schuler, Kyle (Harleigh) Schuler and Ryan Schuler, and Alyshia and Andrew (Kelsey) Skurdal; great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Penelope, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Ted was predeceased by his loving wife, Jacqueline Schuler; sisters, Emmaline (Eric) Greaves, Maxine (Bob) Tillman, Gladys (Hector) MacGregor, June (Don) Nelson, Carolyn (Ben) Unreiner; and parents, Tillman McKinley Schuler and Florella Schuler. Ted was born in Medicine Hat, AB, on September 9, 1936. Growing up, Ted attended Schuler School. On July 13, 1963, Ted married Jacqueline in Medicine Hat. From 1963, Ted and Jacqueline ran Mac’s Cash Store together in Schuler. Ted also served as treasurer of the Schuler Community Hall and drove the school bus for Cypress School Division #4 until Ted and Jacqueline retired to Medicine Hat in 1999. In his retirement, he enjoyed driving his scooter around to watch geese. Ted lived a full life and enjoyed being around his family and friends, even celebrating his 90th birthday early with his family this past weekend.
