A true matriarch in every sense of the word, Marlene was the heart of her family. She took great pride in ensuring that everyone was loved, cared for, and never went without. Her family was always her greatest priority, and she expressed her love through countless acts of kindness, a home-cooked meal, and her willingness to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. Marlene was a hardworking and resourceful woman who wore many hats throughout her lifetime. Having lived in numerous communities and worked in a variety of occupations, she was never one to shy away from a new opportunity or challenge. With a natural entrepreneurial spirit, Marlene was always finding ways to keep busy and make a difference. She also had a generous heart and devoted much of her time to volunteering and supporting charitable causes. Her love and influence will continue to be felt through the many generations of family she so proudly nurtured. She was predeceased by her parents, Harvey and Margaret Gratton; her brother, Lloyd; her children Harley and Lori; and her beloved grandsons, Clayton, Joni and Jeff, as well as her granddaughter, Marcie. Though her presence will be deeply missed, the love she gave, the lessons she taught, and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of her family forever.
