He is also survived by his siblings: Gary Stanford of Salt Lake City, Walter Stanford of Calgary, and Marianne Flanagan of Calgary. He is predeceased by his brother, Leland Stanford of Spring Coulee and his grandson, Andrew Stanford. Family was important to Nunham, and he leaves behind a proud progeny of 11 grandchildren and one great granddaughter whom he adored. He was an avid family historian and the influence from his dedication and countless hours of genealogical work will be appreciated and felt by many generations for years to come. Nunham was a school teacher for 35 years. He loved teaching so much, he often taught summer school and evening classes. He also continued to tutor children long after his retirement. In his later years, Nunham made it a practice to check the obituaries first thing every day only to exclaim to Katherine, “Well, I’m not in them again today, Mother.” You’re in them today, Dad. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, STIRLING CHAPEL. Friends may meet the family prior to the service from noon to 12:45 p.m. at the church. Interment to follow in the Stirling Cemetery.
